Sample Protocol
Treatment plans include natural supplements and re-purposed prescription drugs that help your body fight cancer at the cellular level.
Treatment Protocols are created based on your cancer type and personal biology. Plans can be developed for before, during, and after chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy.
NOTE: This sample protocol shows 4 supplements and 2 re-purposed prescription pharmaceuticals that do not constitute a full treatment plan.
This sample protocol is not intended to represent a full treatment guideline, it is very abbreviated, and is only intended as a brief example of what a treatment plan may include.
Personalized protocols include many more anti-cancer supplements and re-purposed pharmaceuticals along with descriptions of why each item is recommended with reference citations to the resources in PubMed.

Examples of Supplements
Beta-1,3-1,6-Glucan
Typical dosage recommendation:
1-3 tabs/caps
2-3 times per day
Treatment Rationale: A specific type of beta-glucan molecule, beta-1,3-1,6-glucan has the molecular activity to increase the anti-cancer activity of vitally important types of immune cells.
Curcumin-in-water (95% plant extract standardized powder in capsules)
2 cups of curcumin-boiled-in-water solution
2 times per day
Treatment Rationale: Curcumin is a natural product supplement molecule derived from the turmeric root commonly used in cooking. The curcumin molecule has multiple anti-cancer effects against multiple molecular targets in cancer cells and other cancer-supporting cells. Curcumin molecules are poorly absorbed by the body unless processed to make them more easily absorbed by the intestinal tract. Boiling curcumin molecules for at least 10 minutes causes a significant amount of curcumin molecules to dissolve in water and be absorbable by drinking.
EGCG in green tea extract standardized powder concentrate in capsules
1-3 capsules, as tolerated, taken in the middle of a meal
1-3 times per day
Treatment Rationale: The molecule EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate) and several related molecules contained in green tea standardized extracts possess significant anti-cancer molecular effects against multiple molecular targets in numerous types of cancer cells.
Vitamin B-12
1 capsule
1 time per day
Treatment Rationale: To replace vitamin B-12 lost from administration of re-purposed anti-cancer (off-label) prescription Metformin.
Re-Purposed (Off-Label) Pharmaceuticals
Metformin – 500 mg
Typical dosage recommendation:
½-1 tab/cap as prescribed by your doctor
1-3 times per day
Treatment Rationale: Metformin is a common generic drug widely prescribed for management of blood sugar in Type 2 diabetes. Metformin also has anti-cancer molecular activity in numerous cancer cell types by effecting multiple molecular targets. Metformin’s most-well documented anti-cancer molecular activity is to activate the molecular activity of AMPK. In addition, Metformin possesses anti-cancer molecular activity against cancer stem cells and demonstrates synergistic anti-cancer activity with radiation therapy and specific chemotherapy agents.
Celecoxib (Celebrex®) – 100mg 200mg
Typical dosage recommendation:
1-2 tabs/caps as prescribed by your doctor
1-2 times per day
Treatment Rationale: Celecoxib is an NSAID medication that inhibits the COX-2 molecular target in cells – including in cancer cells.
Celecoxib has anti-cancer molecular activity against the COX-2 molecular target in multiple cancer cell types. In addition, Celecoxib exerts anti-cancer molecular effects against multiple other molecular targets in cancer cells and cancer supporting cells. Celecoxib also demonstrates synergistic anti-cancer molecular activity with various specific natural product supplements, chemotherapy agents, biologic agents, other re-purposed pharmaceuticals, and radiation therapy in various cancer cell types.
